I have yet to see any facts. All I see posted over and over again rants about corporations making things expensive because they're greedy, they don't pay enough in taxes and anyone who doesn't believe that is brain-washed by the corporate media (where have I heard that before).

The point I was making and that you missed was that the market determines prices. Price something too high and it won't sell. Price something affordable and it will. Therefore the price of goods can't rise past the average income or everyone goes out of business. Wal-Mart didn't get as big as it is now by selling high, they are successful because they sold low.

And, Pogo, I don't have to listen to the "corporate media" or the "drive by media" either. I can look at government spending and taxation and think for myself. It has nothing to do with conspiracies and wealthy pundits. It has everything to do with entitlement scum trying to take what they have not earned, what is not theirs, and what they don't deserve. It has everything to do with liberal media and liberal politicians trying to blame everything on people who are smarter than others, try harder than others, and succeed. It has everything to do with government waste and excessive spending. There will always be winners and losers, so quit whining and if you don't like where you're at, then go and figure out how to be a winner. There are two main reasons why I don't link to a source:1. as we know from phishing scams, clicking on links can be dangerous. I personally don't click on them so I don't provide them. 2. I prefer to do my own thinking, most links on here are just express someone else's opinion.

Wow... on Photobucket, for the world to see! I am shaking in my Jimmy Choos. I just asked you to tell me what I posted that was false and you had found "bunches" of sites to prove me wrong, and I get a whole spread constructed by volunteers on Photobucket? I am touched that I mean that much to so many people. Perhaps you all can build a house for Habitat for Humanity when this is finished.

Either way someone in a previous thread posted from a site what I have been quoting, "that 1% has as much wealth as 90% of the people. " This one percent does not pay 90% of the taxes. And as I have stated tax rates were higher, much higher, on the wealthy and corporations for decades before the "Reagan Revolution" lowered them. No millionaire lost their money and we all enhjoyed a better quality and standard of life. Most of this scare talk is from the greedy that's fed to you by the media pundits who are paid by the greedy. taxing the very wealthy is not a crime and is a basic principle of Capitalism. They should pay more.
We are society and the reason they make these profits are off the labor of the workers, who should also share in the profits. Governments are instituted by men (people) to secure the unailable right of all the people in the society to "Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." The Governemnt is govenrment of all the people and has a responibility to all the people, not just the greedy rich.
Also, thanks for the support Kindred_Spirit and don't worry about this crew. They are heavily propagandized and taught to defend what they are told. That's why I keep talking about alternative and progressive sites. If you check it out you will be encouraged to find there is a whole nation and world outside of Alabama and this Forum. There are many people out there that do think and question and they are growing. I also post on AOL and I have seen the tide turning over the last few years.
Many people are waking up. It's why the democrats took congress.
But they were lied too by democrats who have not caved on many issues but many people are still moving forward.
