New CIA director is said to return the CIA into the shadows. The place for an intelligence service like the CIA is in the shadows where no one really knows, not even our own government, what is going on. No doubt many in our on government are people who China and Russia and other nations glean information from regarding what they know about what is going on. Past 'CIA directors have been more political people rather than people promoted from the ranks and Trump has returned the director's position to someone who has worked in the agency for many years and who knows what's going on.
The only proof that politicians have run the agency before can be had by viewing CNN and seeing how past directors are front in center condemning the current president and posing as commentators. Even past directors should live in secret and not out in the public's eye. The agency itself should be covert and not able to be used for political means and that hasn't been the case under the Obama Administration but then Obama never was a person that understood what a President should be and do anyway. There are those who work for the Government with the public and citizens well being in mind and the safety of this Nation and then there are those who work for the good of their own party and positions. Sometimes it's easy to tell which is which.
I'm thankful that it seems that Trump has returned the CIA with his appointment of a new director back to being what the CIA should be.
