Trader, Beeb started a topic in News about a week or so ago in which she called Jennifer Crosley's article on a local art collector the worst she had ever read in the TD. She later added another example with a second writer.

I was reading Russ Corey's latest column and felt it to be worse than Jennifer's (which only needed a little polishing).

So...what's the verdict of every one else? I've heard a lot about Bernie in the past, but I think his writing is fairly good. Everyone has their favs and least favs. (It's supposed to be humorous--not to be taken seriously, or I would have placed it in feedback.)
I believe they are all substandard writers. I went to high school with a girl that was a terrific writer. Right out of college she went to work at the TD. They never gave her a chance to write. She basically got stuck doing the crap work that everyone else didn't want to do because she wasn't "connected" enough. She got tired of the way they treated her and she left. So these are the "cream of the crop" that the TD was able to hold on to and thus the paper continues on the downhill slide as a source of news.

That was Emilio Sahurie, not really sure of the spelling. He did the county/country beat and talked to me afew times. I thought he was pretty good.
