For several days I wondered what was going on with Popeyes as I saw cars waiting for the drive thru stacked out to Florence Blvd and people lined up in the waiting area, inside. I actually stopped and walked in to ask what was going on and was there some outrageous sale going on. One customer just said it's those Sandwitches that they have come out with. Seems that if you can find them in stock Popeye's new Chicken Sandwich is awesome and not only rivals Chick-fil-a's Chicken sandwich but actually beats it hands down.

I've now made several visits in an attempt to find them in stock and thankfully on this past Sunday, even though the sign on the door said they were out, found that they had some in stock so I ordered one to see what all the hype was about and I have to agree that they not only are far better than Chick-fil-a's Chicken Sandwich but I believe it is the best Chicken Sandwich I have ever tasted. Talk about underestimating your product Popeyes has truly underestimated the impact that their new Chicken Sandwich would have and thus are striving to catch up to demand. Each Popeyes has added a sandwich preparation station where they have a station dedicated to making the sandwiches and usually a dedicated employee that does only the sandwich making given the demand for it. In many news articles the demands are so high that employees can't keep up and are quitting over the extra, demanding, work and given that there is only one small station, right now, they are overloaded and overworked.
I know it's just a sandwich and you can get them spicy or mild and if you are like me and don't like mayonnaise then you need to specify that they make them without the mayonnaise but Popeyes has outdone themselves and offer a totally exceptional Chicken Sandwich that, if you can find them in stock, will have you going back to Popeyes as the Sandwich is totally worthy of the hype. Also unless you are quite an eater or have a large appetite I'd stick to one because not only are these new sandwiches far better than Chick-fil-a but they come with a HUGE boneless Chicken patty on the buttered bun along with pickles and mayonnaise (unless you, like me, ask for it without the mayonnaise). Many news outlets do not believe Popeyes advantage will continue on and through and that because they so underestimated the attraction to the new sandwich that they will have to make some changes in order to achieve enough product to meet demand and that quality, and demand, will thus go down and put Chick-fil-a back in the lead. May happen but for now I can't get enough of this new sandwich and just hate that they are out of the product as often, and as much, as they are.
Also you know how in most advertisements the photos are exaggerations of the actual product? In the photos of Popeyes's new Sandwich there is no exaggeration at all, yes they are that big.
