If TD imposed an online subscription fee for content and forums would you still read the paper online or use the forums.

NO, and NO AGAIN. The skimpy little rag already is wildly overpriced at 50 cents and they get away with that since it is the only daily paper in town. The forums beat the silly al.com forums, which is kind of saying that the TD forums are better than a sharp stick in the eye, but since they used the forums as an advertising device, they should never charge a fee to participate in them. Participation would PLUMMET if they did!
well no,too many other FREE forums out there. AND too many sites where one can build a free forum for the users SHOULD TD want to tack a fee on here.

I wondered what everyone would say. Personally I would pay a fee or online content. I appreciate being able to read online each day. I tried to suscribe to the paper copy but it turned out to be such a hassle when I took business trips I dropped it. (I could not turn the sub on and off as rapidly as I needed to and carriers did me a favor by delivering while I was gone inviting theives )

You are kidding? There are more forums that are free out in cyber world that are better than this one. I do like talking to people that are local but I wouldnot pay for it.
If they start charging I bet a local forum could be created by someone other than Times Daily that would stay free and everyone still be able to talk.

if it was reasonable and you got extra priviledges, I wouldn't be opposed to it. I help run a 19,000 member auto enthusiast forum, and we are a free site. you can get additional content and multi-media storage for $45 a year, but its not required to use the public forums.
