Glenn Beck ending Fox News program
by James Hibberd

Glenn Beck announced plans to “transition off” Fox News. In a joint statement, the network and Glenn Beck’s production company announced they will work together to “develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the FOX News Channel (FNC) as well as content for other platforms.” In the meantime, Beck will “transition off his daily program.” “Glenn Beck is a powerful communicator, a creative entrepreneur and a true success by anybody’s standards,” said Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of Fox News. “I look forward to continuing to work with him.”
“I truly believe that America owes a lot to Roger Ailes and Fox News,” Beck said in a statement. “I cannot repay Roger for the lessons I’ve learned and will continue to learn from him and I look forward to starting this new phase of our partnership.”

Yeah, it sounds just horrible especially the part of making MORE projects for Fox.

You're caught in the Spin Zone!!! Beck was a useful idiot, but now he has gone off the rails. His radio show has been canceled in numerous markets. Maybe he and Palin can start their own shopping channel...survival products for the Armageddon.
Considering that Fox pays a pitiance compared to the rest of his fortue, he probably said screw em.

Glenn Beck, Forbes Cover Boy, Made $32 Million Last Year

by Steve Krakauer | 4:23 pm, April 8th, 2010

Publishing: $13 million
Includes profit participation with Simon & Schuster, which sold 3.5 million copies of his books, and Fusion Magazine.

Radio: $10 million
Includes five-year, $50 million participation deal with Premiere Radio Networks.

Digital: $4 million
Includes an ad-supported Web site and newsletter, plus Insider and Insider Extreme services and merchandise.

Events: $3 million
Includes tours, performances and various speaking engagements.

Television: $2 million
A three-year contract with Fox News.
The real story here is WHY Beck is being shown the door. And I think I know.
He has been doing a series of shows on uncovering conspiratorial plans to subjugate this country both financially and by law. Albeit beck was all over one side of this thing and couldn't see all of it, he did hit too close to home for the established oligarchs who ,yes, own FOX news as well as CNN, ABC ect.

What you should see in this is that the old left/right paradigm is just a show to keep people under the thumb of the oligarchs. Anyone getting too close to the truth has to be eliminated.
It also shows that there is no free expression in journalism to go after REAL stories and broadcast REAL news. The people who have been successful over time and those coming into the profession are propagandists. This includes Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh as well as those on the left.
