Today around 6:30-7pm I was on my way back to Russellville from Florence when I saw yet another wreck in the same place they lowered the speed limit. The person was on the south side of 43 going toward russellville. They were in a ditch. They need to put up guardrails or something this is getting rediciulous. And yes i understand this is not the only place that has wrecks but there are far too many lately in the same small stretch of road.

Hott, when I left work this morning there was moderate rain. Just north of Littleville, an LPD car had one pulled over, then about a 1/4 mile further north a black Charger (AHP) had another one. I'm sure they're out in force tonight.

What gets me is why don't they fix the road. I think all the accidents occurred in the northbound lanes--they're already patched more than the seat of a clown's pants. Don't we have the money to fix the problem?
I left Muscle Shoals for Russellville last night around 9:30 pm and drove 45 mph the entire way because there was a moderate rain falling. When I reached this specific area on Hwy 43 everyone in front and behind me slowed down to 45 mph. I was pleasantly surprised because there were no law enforcement vehicles monitoring this area at the time. There was even an 18 wheeler in front of me that slowed to 45 mph and he had to put on his hazard lights at the steepest incline because he didn't have enough speed to maintain the 45 mph limit. The mayor has said that they plan to install guardrails on the outside and concrete dividers in the median. Hopefully, they will be installed soon.
