Senator Richard Shelby
SH-110, United States Senate
Washington, DC 20510
Dear Senator Shelby,
Senator Kennedy has drafted a new bill to make it even easier for illegal aliens to get amnesty than last year's S. 2611, and the White House is rumored to support it. Please do what you did last year and vote against any amnesty bill.

Senator Kennedy is reportedly drafting a new bill behind closed doors. And who is helping to devise this bill? According to Senate staffers who spoke to the Washington Times, Sen. Kennedy's bill is being drafted largely by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Essential Worker Immigration Coalition. The Washington Times also found emails naming the ACLU, National Immigration Law Center, National Council of LaRaza and the service employees International Union as being "key stakeholders" in workplace enforcement provisions.

Whose interests are being represented here? Certainly not those of your constituents. This bill was crafted in the shadows, and it should never see the light of day.

I'm hoping for an encore of your strong opposition to last year's amnesty bill.
Phone me if you would like to talk about this,
