Anna, honey, tell your hairdresser to go a bit easier on the blonde dye at next appointment.

Apparently you only need to have (and show) boobs and legs to make it as a Fox News host. Those with substance and brains need not apply.

‘Fox & Friends’ fails on Obama-Muslim museum connection: No surprise here

In their glorious history, fake-news sites have thrived by fooling people into thinking their stuff is for real. For instance, the conservative congressman who fell for that classic Onion story on an “Abortionplex” opening up in Topeka, or the Chinese Communist Party newspaper that fell for the Onion story celebrating North Korea’s Kim Jong Un as the “sexiest man alive,” or the news sites, including Boston.com and Breitbart.com, that bought the Daily Currant’s story that New York Times columnist Paul Krugman had gone bankrupt.

The record shows that those hoodwinked by fake news generally swallow pieces that confirm their worldview or advance their agenda. So: If you’re out to get Fox News to bite on a fake-news story, one good way just might be to … concoct an article in which President Obama digs into his pocket to support the International Museum of Muslim Cultures. That’s the allegation that recently surfaced on the National Reporter, which calls itself an “online portal for ‘citizen journalists.’”

The story got some fame on the Saturday edition of Fox News’s morning program “Fox & Friends.” After a discussion of the dispute over the accessibility of the World War II Memorial during the government shutdown, co-host Anna Kooiman said, “We’re going to talk a little bit later in the show, too, about some things that are continuing to be funded and President Obama has offered to pay out of his own pocket for the Museum of Muslim Culture, out of his own pocket.”

Yes, they made a mistake and as I see corrected it later.  Mistakes are common in MSM.  No problem if they admit the mistake.  Trust a progressive to faint and require the smelling salts if Fox makes an error.  Perhaps, you should confine your activities to those of a gentlewoman of the Victorian era.

When, I followed the NY Times, I remember numerous corrections on the second age.

Shall we mention famous mistakes and misses by the MSM.

Many news outlets have similar problems, whether from commission or omission.

NBC's edit of the police video of George Zimmerman gave a completely false story.  Several MSM printed pictures of Treyvon Martin as a much younger person.

Several MSM, ranted on a tea party rally when a member carried a rifle and pistol, calling them racist -- carefully excluding the picture of the gun toting black man.

The NY Times, historically, made major mistakes.  They ignored the death camps in WWII, until Allied troops liberated them.  One reporter, Walter Duranty, toured the Stalin era Soviet Union, reported the planned extermination of millions was but a rumor and received a Pulitzer prize for same.  Doubt Fox missed the extermination of 8 million, once and over 25 million, in another incident.

Walter Cronkite reported the Tet offensive as a VC victory. It was a defeat.  The VC could not mount large unit offensives after that.  And, were replaced with North Vietnamese regulars.

MSM reported John Kerry's reports of torture told before Congress as first hand knowledge.  Despite, the fact he was in Nam less than four months.  Later, he admitted the stories were second to third hand.

Left wing sexist misogynist!  Yes, Irish, women have curves.  (Sofia Vergara's ad "You can't draw a woman with a straight line.")  Unless, your ideal of a woman is Olive Oyl.  Or, others without curves.

Ho hum, nothing here of substance from the regular GOP carps Dire/ Farley & Co. flopping furiously on the deck of the real world hoping someone will give them a kick back in the Repub cesspool to gulp up a few more lies only to resurface again at the hint of any truth that exposes the macabre intent of right-winger-dingers of society who loathe sensibility and would rather be remembered as a pestilence than a contribution to the well-being of citizens.
