If I was at home, and some burglar broke in, yes, I would defend my family and property.

If he refused to surrender, or if he was clearly armed, then he would meet either Samuel Colt, Pietro Beretta, or John Moses Browning...and he would loose.

Remember: shoot to kill. The wounded animal is the most dangerous animal. Plus, a dead animal can't talk, or sue.

I agree with you except for one thing.I would not give the person a chance to surrender.
To add:

A burgler coming to "visit" me could potentially meet Eugene Stoner and John C. Garand as well.....

As G. Gordon Liddy said back in 1994 or so, aim for the head, shoot to kill.

A criminal has nothing to loose. If caught, they surely will not give you any quarter. So, you have to get him before he gets you. And make sure it is in the HOUSE, not outside, or if a criminal is running, make sure he is coming toward you...You can't shoot one in the back (allysmom) or the rear end. They have to show an active threat toward you, and not away from you, and inside your place of abode.

I pray it never happens to me, or anyone for that matter.....
