Firedancer, my guess is because they don't ever go to Sidepockets. If you'll notice, even on this thread, people saw him at restaurants. People around here remember lounges and clubs from their younger years as meat markets & feel like they've outgrown that lifestyle. I'm not knocking Sidepockets - don't know that I've ever been there, just explaining what may be the problem.
A place to hear live music with an adult atmosphere would work well. I was recently in Jacksonville, FL - The Landing is GREAT! It's located on the water, three stories in a U shape filled with restaurants and stores...beautiful view! Inside the U is a stage and seating for live performances. We couldn't stay to see the show, but a band was warming up & it sounded awesome. We could see and hear the band clearly from the patio seating at the restaurant where we were eating...very very cool.
