Can someone tell me a website where I can get upcoming appearances for Zac Hacker? He has a myspace page but it hasn't been updated since December 2008. I would like to watch him perform when he is in the Shoals area but I don't know how to locate his schedule.
This man is so talented and definitely should be selling platinum cd's.

its hard to get people to support music ...or anything else around here. they are either broke, under age ,to old ,or just plain lazy and dont care.
personally i never cared for zac... not that that matters. i have been to see him a number of times and have know him for years.i think theres way better talent to be heard here in the shoals. he just got lucky and got on the big screen and that means a lot of instant exposure... dont mean much around here.
Firedancer, my guess is because they don't ever go to Sidepockets. If you'll notice, even on this thread, people saw him at restaurants. People around here remember lounges and clubs from their younger years as meat markets & feel like they've outgrown that lifestyle. I'm not knocking Sidepockets - don't know that I've ever been there, just explaining what may be the problem. Smiler

A place to hear live music with an adult atmosphere would work well. I was recently in Jacksonville, FL - The Landing is GREAT! It's located on the water, three stories in a U shape filled with restaurants and stores...beautiful view! Inside the U is a stage and seating for live performances. We couldn't stay to see the show, but a band was warming up & it sounded awesome. We could see and hear the band clearly from the patio seating at the restaurant where we were eating...very very cool.

I agree...he's good--not great. But suddenly he's on TV and everyone loves him? It is hard to get people excited about the abundance of talent in the Shoals. I was a little jaded until I moved. Now I have to "go home" just to hear good music!

I don't prefer sidepocket I was just saying that it was always advertised that Zac was playing there every Wednesday....without fail. My point was that no one cared until he was on TV. I just want people to realize that the Shoals area has phenonmenal musicians! Please go support them wherever they may be playing!

Actually, I'm the opposite. I liked him before he was on TV, but once he got on TV it all seemed to go to his head and he's a bit "big for his britches" now...He's a great musician, but he's not as cool to hang out with and be around now that he became a "star"...yet, Gary Nichols had videos on CMT and GAC and he's still the same ol' Gary like he used to be...big difference in the two...

I totally agree! (although Zac was sort of "too big for his britches" PRIOR to being on the show!)
I love Gary! Super nice guy!
I have waited on both Zac Hacker and Gary Nichols. Both SUPER nice guys. I did not meet Zac until after Nashville Star. He was very nice to me and thanked me for being a fan. Gary is also a super nice guy. I have also met Dylan LeBlanc and he was nice also.
Lenny LeBlanc is not only a nice man, he also has a nice family.
I am a waitress. I always say that you can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat others in my position. In other words "someone beneath them." I could tell you things about others in the area that aren't nice, but I have nothing but nice things to say about these four.
